This Too Shall Pass (Gam Zeh Yaavor)- The Road to Recovery
Out of curiosity as to what this phrase meant,googled it and found some interesting story which gives you insight about the wisdom behind this quote. The story goes like this.
King Solomon, feeling blue, asked his advisory to find him a ring he had once seen in a dream.
"When I feel satisfied I’m afraid that it won’t last. And when I don’t, I am afraid my sorrow will go on forever. Find me the ring that will ease my suffering." he demanded.
Solomon sent out all of his advisory, and eventually one of them met an old jeweler who carved into a simple gold band the inscription, "this too shall pass." When the king received his ring and read the inscription, his sorrows turned to joy and his joy to sorrows, and then both gave way to equanimity.

Leave home and fly with bird

Back to VJTI
Last time we were seven and this time only five.. the counter decreasing so rapidly i wonder what it'll be next time, may be three or may be none...
we cant control the future what we can ... is to remember the past.... and is there a better place than college for it??...
VJTI brings out a lot of memories... mostly horrible... still it's a jail which i miss or may be too much comfort in coprorate life needs a brake... so what we did... we went back to VJTI for alumni meet
As usual we were late for the meet... Some habits has no cure ... and what we missed was pandit maam's pioneering question to Infosys legend Murthy sir... later we heard about it a lot though....
what we heard more from pandit maam was usual anger towards current MCA students ... And now as we are half punekars, we like when someone blames the new generation even more...
what was more entertaining was chheda couldnt refrain from asking only "one" question to Pandit Mam ... and for which she gave some priceless negative expressions ... chheda rocks in such situations...
On the downside we could not get the tea from canteen ... and to add to our dismay even Mhatre was closed ....but to more than compensating this we had Dilkhush Dosa at Madras Cafe .... may be the price is inflated may be more than the inflation the free publicity provided by us is the reason... but its still delicious and worth it.
Quad is always my favorite place ... and still it is.... it's another place in the premises which can haunt you with memories...
anyways its good to be back in the college ...though alumni now, we felt like student again ... Somethings never change.. and the feeling of visiting VJTI is one of them... we saw the same intensity in the 1959 students as we felt... For 3 years getting out of those gates was my biggest dream.... was extremely happy when finally we got out of it.... but may be some part of me is still trapped inside...
